RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE COOPERATION WITH OTHER
METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITIES IN THE ESTABLISHMENT AND
OPERATION OF THE METROPOLITAN TRANSIT AUTHORITY, AS
PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 28E OF THE STATE CODE OF IOWA.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waterloo of Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Section I - Membership
That said City of Waterloo does hereby pledge its cooperation with
other participating municipalities in the maintenance and operation
of the Metropolitan Transit Authority.
Section II - General Rules , Procedure and Operation
In compliance with and as a part of this resolution, the City of
Waterloo does also agree to maintain its membership on the Board of
Trustees of the Metropolitan Transit Authority in compliance with
the terms of the adopted Articles of Agreement attached hereto and made
a part of this resolution.
Section III - Withdrawal
The City of Waterloo may withdraw their cooperation hereunder at
any time by adopting a resolution so to do and delivering a certified
copy thereof to the Secretary of the Metropolitan Transit Authority
Board of Trustees . Such withdrawal shall be effective upon delivery,
but shall not relieve the withdrawing party of its obligation to
contribute its share of the cost for the fiscal year in which the with-
drawal occurs , nor shall it withdraw for that year the party ' s terri-
tory from the Metropolitan Transit Authority' s service area.
Section IV - Time of Taking Effect
These terms of cooperation shall take effect on July 1 , 1981 , upon
their adoption and certification by the cooperating municipalities .
The Secretary of the Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of
Trustees sh4r1 upon receipt of a copy of the duly adopted and certified

resolution thereafter include said city as a full member in the Metropol-
H itan Transit Authority with all privileges and rights thereto .
