RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TO
BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF ALVIN AND JUNE HANSON TO
REZONE FROM "A-1" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "M-1" LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT A PARCEL OF LAND GENERALLY LOCATED
NORTH OF RIDGEWAY AVENUE AND SOUTHEAST OF U.S . HIGHWAY
63 AS APRIL 20 , 1981 , AT 7 : 00 P .M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Waterloo , Iowa, shall meet
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo ,
Iowa at 7 : 00 P.M. on the 20th day of April , 1981 for the purpose
of considering and acting upon an application of Alvin and June
Hanson to rezone from "A-1" Agricultural District to "M-1" Light
Industrial District a parcel of land generally located north of
Ridgeway Avenue and southeast of U. S . Highway 63 and legally
described as follows :
That part of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of
Section Thirty-three (33) , Township Eighty-
nine North (T89N) , Range Thirteen West (R13W)
of the Fifth Meridian, City of Waterloo , Black
Hawk County, Iowa, described as commencing at
a point on the South line of said Southwest
Quarter (SW4) which is One Hundred Thirty-eight and
Six Tenths (138 . 6) feet West of the Southeast
corner of said Southwest Quarter (SW4) ; thence
N01°03 ' 40"W Thirty-three (33) feet to the North
line of Ridgeway Avenue and point of beginning ;
thence N90°00 'W Five Hundred Fifty-seven and
Twenty-two Hundredths (557 . 22) feet along said
North line; thence NO1°40 ' 30"W One Thousand Two
Hundred Ninety-three and Eighty-six Hundredths
(1293 . 86) feet to the South line of Lot Nine (9) ,
Jane Second Addition, at a point which is Nineteen
and Fifty-three Hundredths (19 . 53) feet East of
the Southwest corner of said Lot ; thence S89°51 ' 10"E
along the South line of said Jane Second Addition
and Jane Addition Seven Hundred Fifteen and Twenty-
five Hundredths (715 . 25) feet to the East line of
said Southwest Quarter (SW4) ; thence S00°49 ' 20"E
along said East line Nine Hundred Ninety-nine and
Fifty-seven Hundredths (999 . 57) feet ; thence
N90°00 'W One Hundred Thirty-nine and Ninety-three
Hundredths (139 . 93) feet ; thence S01°03 '40"E Two
Hundred Ninety-two (292 . 0) feet to the point of
beginning.
The above described parcel contains 20 . 0 acres .
NOTE : The South line of the Southwest Quarter (SW4)
of Section 33 is assumed to bear N90°00 'W.
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the
time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
