RESOLUTION NUMBER 2023-167
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF NOEL
ANDERSON AND ARIC SCHROEDER AS DESIGNATED VOTING
ALTERNATE TO THE BLACK HAWK COUNTY METROPOLITAN AREA
TRANSPORTATION POLICY BOARD FOR A TERM OF ONE YEAR.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is a member in good standing of the Black Hawk County
Metropolitan Area Transportation Organization (MPO); and
WHEREAS, MPO Policy Board voting members shall include the mayor of each city and one (1)
designated voting alternates; and
WHEREAS, MPO Policy Board designated voting alternates shall be appointed by the voting
members' board or council and shall be an elected official, board member, or employee of the respective
jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is authorized one (1) vote per Article 1, Section 5 Bylaws of
the Black Hawk County Metropolitan Area Transportation Policy Board ; and
WHEREAS, only designated voting alternate shall vote in the absence of their respective regular
voting member, and shall have the same authority as any regular voting member; and
WHEREAS, the standing committees of the MPO shall be the Transportation Technical
Committee (TTC) and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC); and
WHEREAS, the TTC and BPAC voting member and designated voting alternates shall not be a
Policy Board member;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Any City, Iowa,
authorizes the Mayor, Noel Anderson and Aric Schroeder as the designated voting member to the MPO
Policy Board.
