RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

RECEIVING OF BUS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 3001 day of March, 2023 until 1:00
p.m. for the construction of the P.Y. 20Z2
BROADWAY ET. AND E. SAN MARNAN
OR. RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

In the plans and specifications flow on file
in the Office of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
9S11 day of March 2023 at 1:00 p.m., and
the proposals will be acted upon at such
later time and place as may then be fixed
by the City Courted.
PUBLIC !W ARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a pubfic hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
01 contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above -described im-
provement protect at 5:30 p.m. on the id
day of April. 2d23. sald hearing to be held
in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers
in City Hat in said City. The proposed
plans, specifications. form of contract,
and estimate of cost for said improve-
ments heretofore prepared by the City of
Waterloo are now 011 file it the office of
the City Clerk for public examination, and
any person interested therein may file
written objection thereto with the City
Clerk before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
with the City Clerk bekse the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto at the meeting above set
forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is the
contraction of street improvements in,
along and upon portion of certain
streets, avenues, roads, and alleys, and
such other work as may be incidental
thereto along and upon the following
streets, avenues, roads and alloys.
Street improvements consisting of:
Division I - Broadway St. Reconstruction
Altercate A:
• 12' H.M.A. pavement section with 10"
w+hhasn material
OR
Alternate 8:
• 9" P.C.C. pavement section with 10'
subbase material
Division II - E. San Maman Dr.
Reconstruction
Alternate A:
• 12" H.M.A. pavement section with 10"
subbase material
OR
Altercate 8:
• 9" P.C.C. pavement section with 10"
subbase material
Division 111 - E. San Maman Dr. Water
Main Relocation
Division consisting of filling abandoning,
and relocating a 16" Water Main.
Alternate A:
• 12" H.M.A. pavement section with 10"
subbase material
OR
Alternate B:
• 9' P.C.C. pavement section with 10"
subbase material
Subgrade drain tile, granular subbase,
new storm sewer and appurtenances and
other such work as may be incidental
thereto.
All street improvements consist of the
reconstruction of an existing paved street,
which is to be replaced with a proposed
sheet.
The list of streets, which are proposed for
improvements, is as follows:
