A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
DESTROY CERTAIN RECORDS AND PAPERS OF THE WATERLOO RIVER-
FRONT COMMISSION DATED PRIOR TO JANUARY 1 , 1971 , AS
PROVIDED IN SECTION 372.13, PARAGRAPH 5, OF THE 1977 CODE
OF IOWA..
WHEREAS, the Code of Iowa for 1977, under the provisions of Chapter 372. 13,
Paragraph 5, provides upon order of the Council , that all records and papers,
other than proceedings, ordinances, and instruments having to do with real
estate and bond issues, which are more than 10 (ten) years old may be destroyed ,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is desirous of
destroying certain records and papers dated prior to January 1 , 1971 , under the
provisions of Chapter 372.13, Paragraph 5, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and is hereby authorized and directed
to destroy the following RIVERFRONT COMMISSION documents:
paid bills, vouchers and cancelled checks
general correspondence
payroll timesheets
cancelled payroll checks
income tax report forms
gas sales and deposit records
dated prior to January 1 , 1971 , as provided under the provisions of Chapter 372.13,
Paragraph 5.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of January, 1981 .
