RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF FRED CARLSON CO. INC . OF
DECORAH, IOWA FOR SHAULIS ROAD GRADING AND PAVING PROJECT
FEDERAL PROJECT NO. M-6470(2) --81-07, CITY CONTRACT NO. 201
IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN TIE AMOUNT OF $1,048,452 . 22 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That
the bid of Fred Carlson Company, Inc . of Decorah, Iowa for the Shaulis Road
Grading and Paving Project , Federal Project No. M-6470(2) --51-07, City
Contract No. 201, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, filed with the City Clerk
in accordance with terms of the published notice calling for proposals for the
construction of the said improvement, be, and the same is hereby, accepted,
the bid of Fred Carlson Company, Inc . in the amount of $1,048,452.22 , being
the lowest legal bid received on said proposal, and that the contract be
awarded to Fred Carlson Company, Inc . of Decorah, Iowa and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized, instructed and ordered to ente1 into a contract on
behalf of t 'e City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the Construction of the said
improvement with the said Fred Carlson Company, Inc . , but said contract shall
not be binding upon said city until the same has been duly approved by the
council.
Passed and adopted this 5th day of January, 1981.

PROJECT, FEDERAL PROJECT NO. M-6470(2)--81-07, CONTRACT
NO. 201 , IN THE AMOUNT OF $1 ,048,452.22.
BE ,IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
7' -allat the bid of Fred Carlson Company, Inc. of Decorah, Iowa, in
thE'amount of $1 ,048,452.22 for the Shaulis Road Grading and Paving
Project, Federal Project No. M-6470(2)--81-07, Contract No. 201 ,
E, described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project, after public hearing on published notice
required by law, be is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid
22 received for said work.

Mayor and Clerk/Auditor are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
14rovements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
apipr6Ved by the Council.
