RESOLUTION NO. 2023-198
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY2024 BUDGET
INCLUDING TOTAL PROPERTY TAX ASKINGS OF
$46,756,479 AND A LEVY RATE OF $19.73019 FOR THE
BUDGET YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2024.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa has considered the proposed
FY 2024 city budget including total property tax askings of $46,756,479 and a levy rate of
$19.73019 for the budget year ending June 30, 2024, and
WHEREAS, a notice concerning the proposed public hearing to approve the FY 2024 city
budget was published in the Waterloo Courier March 22, 2023, and posted on the city web site
and social media account, as required by law, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning approval of the proposed FY 2024 city budget
was held on April 3, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the proposed FY 2024 city budget including total property tax askings
of $46,756,479 and a levy rate of $19.73019 for the budget year ending June 30, 2024, be hereby
approved. The roll was called and the vote was,
AYES: Boesen, Nichols, Creighton -Smith, Chiles, Grieder, and Feuss
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Wilder
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of April 2023.
