RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF RUSSELL AND ANN
F OLKERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $23, 000.00, APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A POR-
TION OF APPROXIMATELY 1-1/2 ACRES IN PARTS OF LOTS
1 AND 2, AND LOTS 3, 4, 5, 6 AND 7
VACATED :ALLEY , AND. NW1y SEly
ALL IN BLOCK 2, RIVERSIDE ADDITION,
SUBJECT TO EASEMENTS, AS PUBLISHED IN WATERLOO
COURIER ON 1-11-80, AND DIRECTING .AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED
FOR SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of approximately
1-1/2 acres in parts of Lot 1 and 2 and 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7,
vacated alley, all in Block 2, Riverside Addition, subject and to easements
in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on December 26, 1979 at 7:00 P.M.
in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo,
by

convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to the hiqhest bidders,
and
WHEREAS, the highest bid to purchase a of real property was in the sum of Twenty-three portion of said certain parcel

WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance
should be made as proposed .
NOW,THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
1-1/2 ACRES IN PARTS OF LOTS 1 AND 2,
AND 7, AND NWly-SEly VACATED ALLEYAND LOTS 3, 2, 5, 6
SIDE ADDITION, SUBJECT TO EASEIvJENT. ALL IN BLOCK RIVER-
as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on
January 11, 1980, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the
foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving
no municipal purposes.
That the offer of Russell and .Ann Folkers,
chase the above described Waterloo, Iowa, to pur-
chase thousandav ande no bed portion of real property for the sum of Twenty-
three / ($23, 000.00) Dollars be, and it is hereby, ac-
cepted.That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said
parcel
to Russell and Ann Folkers, by Quit Claim Deed, the form of isoperty attached and approved.
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and
deliver said deed to the purchaser.

That the original of said deed fully executed
and been submitted with this Resolution, the same is hereby acknowledgedaapproved
having

That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to deliver said deed
of conveyance to Russell
and Ann Folkers, Waterloo, Iowa, upon receipt of
the sum of Twenty-three thousand and no/100 ($23, 000.00) Dollars.

by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and
convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to the highest bidders,
and
WHEREAS, the highest bid to purchase a portion of said certain parcel
of real property was in the sum of lwenty-three thousand and no/100 ($23,
000. 30) Dollars made by Russell and Ann Folkers, and
HEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance
should be made as proposed.
NO4,THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
