A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO0 2997
OF THE WATERLOO SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE BY REPEALING
SECTION 3 . 3 SUBSECTION I WHICH STATES:
The applicant shall be required to file a maintenance
bond with the City Council,prior to dedication, in an
amount considered adequate by the City Engineer and in
a form satisfactory to the City Attorney, in order to
assure that satisfactory condition of the required
improvements for a period of two(2) years for storm
and sanitary sewers and four (4) years for street im-
provements , including curbs and gutters after the date
of their acceptance by the City and dedication of same
to the City.
and enacting in lieu thereof the following:
the applicant , for each subdivision submitted, shall be
required to furnish one good and sufficient Maintenance
Bond for the installation of all public improvements
within the subdivision,including streets ,curbs and gutter
sanitary sewer and storm sewer,according to City
specifications and for the repairs necessitated by
defects in materials or workmanship during a time
period not to exceed two (2) years from and after
acceptance of the completion of the improvements by
the City Council, said bond shall be in an amount
considered adequate by the City Engineer and in a form
satisfactory to the City Attorney .
':iHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, is desirous
to adopt an ordinance amending Ordinance Number 2997 , Subdivision
Ordinance, by repealing

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, Iowa, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, directed
to publish notice that said Council is proposing to adopt an or-
dinance amending ordinance No. 2997 Subdivision Ordinance.

and that a public hearing on such adoption will be held in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the 17th day of March,1980 at 7 :OOP.M.
FURTHER,that notice of said hearing be given in accordance
with the 1979 Code of Iowa.
Passed and adopted this 25th day of February,1980 .
