RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF VOGEL PAINT AND WAX
COMPANY,FOR PAINT AND THINNER FOR YEAR 1980 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of Vogel Paint and Wax Company of Orange City, Iowa
for Paint and Thinner for the year 1980,in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, filed with the City Clerk in accordance with the specifications
of the Sign and Traffic Department and the same is hereby accept=
ed,the bid of Vogel Paint and Thinner in the amount of
$5 .30 per gallon-White Paint
45 . 65 per gallon-Yellow Paint
$2 .42 per gallon-Xylol Thinner
being the lowest legal bid received on said proposal, and that the
contract be awarded to Vogel Paint and Thinner, of Orange City,
Iowa, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they are hereby,authorized,instructed and ordered, to enter into
a contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for said paint
and thinner with the said Vogel Paint and Thinner but said contract
shall not be binding upon said city until same has been duly
approved by the Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all ocher bids for said improve-
ment be,and they are hereby,rejectec,ana the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to return unto the persons filing the same
the certified checks accompanying such rejected bids .
Passed and adopted this 25th day of February, 1980 .
