RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS THE WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY, AUTHORIZING ITS MANAGING
AGENT, THE WATERLOO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, TO MAKE APPLICATION
TO THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
FOR EIGHTY-THREE (83) UNITS OF SECTION 8 EXISTING HOUSING,
PROJECT IA05-E050-006.
Whereas, the Waterloo Housing Authority, pursuant to its Housing
Assistance Plan, recognizes the need for the additional allocation of
eighty-three (83) units of Section 8 Existing Housing units for the City
of Waterloo, Iowa; and,
Whereas, the Waterloo Housing Authority, as the Public Housing
Agency for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, must make formal application to
the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for said allocation,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Waterloo Housing Authority
directs its Managing Agent, the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, to make
formal application to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development for eighty-three (83) units of Section 8 Existing Housing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Waterloo Housing Authority is
authorizing this application prior to a Public Hearing on the matter in
order to meet the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development filing
deadline of March 17, 1980, and that it reserves the right to leave the
application on file or withdraw it__pursuant to the results of the Public
Hearing on the matter which has been scheduled for March 24, 1980.
Passed and adopted this 10th day of March, 1980, approved by the
Mayor this 10th day of March, 1980.
