RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK
TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE RATH
PACKING COMPANY PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT
OF ANNUAL COSTS FOR BOND RETIREMENT, OPER-
ATION AND MAINTENANCE OF WATER POLLUTION
CONTROL; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR THE ESTAB-
LISHING OF ANNUAL CREDITS FOR FORCE MAIN
PUMPING.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo
that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to enter into a written
Agreement with The Rath Packing Company providing for the pay-
ment of annual costs for bond retirement , operation and main-
tenance of water pollution control .
WHEREAS, further The Rath Packing Company participates with
the City of Waterloo in the operation and maintenance of water
pollution control .
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The Rath Packing Company
shall receive an annual credit for force main pumping in a sum
equal to 50% of the annual operation and maintenance cost charged
to The Rath Packing Company for water pollution control for the
fiscal year 1980 (July 1, 1979 - June 30, 1980) a 25% credit for
fiscal year 1981 (July 1, 1980 - June 30, 1981) and elimination
of the force main pumping credit beginning fiscal year 1982 (July
1 , 1981 - June 30, 1982) further, that this credit may be reviewed
annually at the request of The Rath Packing Company or the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 10th day of
March, 1980 , and approved by the Mayor this 10th day of March,
1980 .
