A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PREPARATION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE
UNDER TITLE I OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974,
AS AMENDED, AND SETTING A TIME FOR HEARING ON THE APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is desirous of submitting an application
to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for Federal Assistance
under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as
amended; and
WHEREAS, said application will be for Federal Assistance for the
Downtown Sycamore 500 Development Project; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing for said application to consider approval of
said application must be held.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa authorizes preparation of the application for Federal
Assistance under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Waterloo will hold a public hearing on said application the 21st day
of April 1980 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa
and that notice of such hearing will be published in the Waterloo
Courier on April 10, 1980 and April 17, 1980.
Passed and adopted this 7th day of April, 1980.
