ROOFF IN THE AMOUNT OF S6,650.00, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 1 .5 ACRES OF LOT 1 , ROOFF'S ADDITION, AS PUBLISHED IN THE WATERLOO COURIER ON MAY 16, 1980, AND DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED FOR SAID PROPERTY. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real estate in Lot 1 , Rooff's Addition legally described as shown in the City of Waterloo, Iowa , and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 2, 1980 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall , Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to the highest bidders, and WHEREAS, the highest bid to purchase said real property was in the sum of six thousand six hundred fifty and no/100 dollars ($6,650.00) made by James L. and Ramona E. Rooff, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1 . Unplatted Waterloo West described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1 , Rooff's Addition; thence southeasterly along the easterly lot line of said Lot 1 and its southerly extension to a point on a line that is 15 feet normal distance southerly of the south lot line of said Lot 1 , said point being on the north line of Paper Mill Street; thence easterly along the easterly extension of the north line of Paper Mill Street a distance of 100 feet; thence northerly parallel with the centerline to LaPorte Road to the north line of Section 36, Township 89, Range 13; thence westerly along the north line of said Section to the point of beginning. as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on May 16, 1980, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purposes. 2. That the offer of James L. and Ramona E. Rooff, Waterloo, Iowa to ¢ purchase the above described real property for the sum of six thousand six hund- R, g: red fifty and no/100 dollars ($6,650.00) be, and it is hereby, accepted. m s } 3.
