RESOLUTION ACCEPT-NG THE BID OF CEDAR FALLS CONSTRUCTION CO. ,
INC. , IN THE AMOUtT OF $132,966.59 FOR NHS QUINCY & MANSON
PAVING PROGRAM NO. 1, CONTRACT NO. 202.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That the bid
of Cedar Falls Construction Co. , Inc. , of Cedar Falls, Iowa., for the NHS Quincy
& Manson Paving Program, Contract No. 202 in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, filed
with the City Clerk in accordance with the terms of the published notice
calling for proposals for the construction of the said improvement, be, and the
same is hereby, accepted, the bid of Cedar Falls Construction Co. , Inc. , in the
amount of $132,966. 59, being the lowest legal bid received on said proposal ,
and that the contract be awarded to Cedar Falls Construction Co. , Inc. , of Cedar
Falls, Iowa, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby,
authorized, instructed and ordered to enter into a contract on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construction of the said improvement with the
said Cedar Falls Construction Co. , Inc. , but said contract shall not be binding
upon said city until same has been duly approved by the council .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said improvement be,
and they are hereby, rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to return unto the persons filing the same the certified checks accompanjing such
rejected bids.
Passed and adopted this 23rd day of June, 1980.
