RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TO BE GIVEN
ON APPLICATION OF CROSSROADS ESTATES, LTD. , TO REZONE FROM
"A-1 " AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "R-1 " ONE AND TWO FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT AND "R-3" MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE
DISTRICT A PARCEL OF LAND GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF MURPHY
ROAD, AND WEST OF HESS ROAD, AND NORTH OF PROPOSED FREEWAY
520 AS SEPTEMBER 15, 1980, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa at 7:00
P.M. , on the 15th day of September, 1980 for the purpose of considering
and acting upon an application of Crossroads Estates, Ltd. , to rezone from
"A-1 " Agricultural District to "R-1 " One and Two Family Residence and "R-3"
Multiple Family Residence District a parcel of land generally located south
of Murphy Road, west of Hess Road and north of proposed Freeway 520 and
legally described as follows:
"A-1 " to "R-3"
A part of the NE4 of Section 11-88-13, Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, described as follows:
Beginning at the NE corner of said Section 11 ; thence Westerly
along the North line of the NE4 of said Section 11 a distance of
2153.3 feet; thence South a distance of 185.0 feet; thence West
a distance of 160.0 feet; thence S. 03° 05' 00" W. a distance
of 255.0 feet; thence S. 18° 20 ' 00" W. a distance of 190.0 feet;
thence S. 24° 50' 00" E. a distance of 585.0 feet; thence S. 0°
00' 00" E. to the South line of the NW4, NE4 of said Section 11 ;
thence Easterly along the South line of the NW4, NE4 of said
Section 11 to the NW corner of the SE4, NE4 of said Section 11 ;
thence Southerly along the West line of the SE4, NE4 to the
Northerly R-O-W line of Freeway 520, as proposed; thence Easterly
along said Northerly R-O-W line to the Westerly R-O-W line of
Hess Road, as proposed; thence Northerly along the Westerly line
of Hess Road, as proposed and extended, to the North line of the
NE4, NE4 of said Section 11 ; thence East 33.0 feet to the point
of beginning and excepting therefrom the North 233.0 feet of the
East 200.0 feet.
