RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF WHITAKER FOODS, INC.TO REZONE FROM "R-2" ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT TO "M-1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT A PARCEL
OF LAND GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF RAINBOW DRIVE AND
APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET EAST OF HANNA BLVD. , AS SEPT-
EMBER 15, 1980, AT 7:00 P.M. , IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa at 7:00 P.M. , on the 15th day
of September, 1980, for the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of
Whitaker Food, Inc. , to rezone from "R-2" One and Two Family Residence District to
"M-1" Ligi,t Industrial District a parcel of land generally located south of Rainbow
Drive and approximately 300 feet east of Hanna Blvd. , and legally described as follows :
That part of Clyde Miller Heights Second Subdivision and unplatted land in
Sec. 21-89-13 in the City of Waterloo described as follows :
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of Lot 8 Clyde Miller Heights
Second Subdivision; thence Northerly along the Easterly line of Lots
9 and 10 and the Northerly extension of said line a distance of 241. 78
feet more or less to a point 12.5 feet Southwesterly of the centerline
of the Waterloo Railroad track; thence deflect left 46° 05' 20" along
a line parallel to said centerline a distance of 42.94 feet to a point
on the Northeasterly extension of the Northwesterly line of Lot 11
Clyde Miller Heights 2nd Subdivision; thence deflect left 118° 45' 15"
along said extended line and along the Northwesterly line of Lots 11 ,
10 and 9 of said Clyde Miller Heights Second Subdivision a distance of
248.76 feet; thence deflect left 87° 00' 35" a distance 101 .00 feet to
the point of beginning, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk
is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
