RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF CEDAR FALLS CONSTRUCTION CO. , INC.
OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA FOR SECTION 1 ; THE BID OF CEDAR VALLEY CORPO-
RATION OF WATERLOO, IOWA FOR SECTION 2; THE BID OF CEDAR VALLEY
CORPORATION OF WATERLOO, IOWA FOR SECTION 2, ALTERNATE A; THE BID
OF SEE ELECTRIC, CO. OF WATERLOO, IOWA FOR SECTIONS 3 AND 4 FOR
UDAG PROJECT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II , SECTIONS 1 , 2, 3, AND
4, CONTRACT NO. 178.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That the following
bids and amounts for the UDAG Project Public Improvements , Phase II , Sections 1 , 2,
3, and 4, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, filed with the City Clerk in accordance with
the terms of the published notice calling for proposals for the construction of the said
improvements, be, and the same is hereby, accepted:
Section 1 - Cedar Falls Construction Co. , Inc.
Amount of Bid - $298,383. 17
Section 2 - Cedar Valley Corp.
Amount of Bid - $730,835.54
Section 2, Alternate A - Cedar Valley Corp.
Amount of Bid - $82,539.40
Section 3 - See Electric Co.
Amount of Bid - $27,210.27
Section 4 - See Electric Co.
Amount of Bid - $106,199.56
being the lowest legal bids received on said proposals, and that the contract be
awarded as mentioned above, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby,
authorized, instructed and ordered to enter into a contract on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construction of the said improvements with said companies ,
but said contract shall not be binding upon said City until the same has been duly
approved by the Council .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said improvement be, and they
are hereby, rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return unto the persons filing the same the certified checks accompanying such
rejected bids.
Passed and adopted this 8th day of September, 1980.
