RESOLUTION NO. 2023-195
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND ACCEPTANCE OF WORK FOR WORK PERFORMED
BY PETERS CONSTRUCTION OF WATERLOO, IOWA AND
RELEASE OF RETAINAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,205.15 IN
CONJUNCTION WITH FY 2022 ANAEROBIC LAGOON
BLOWER BUILDING INTERIM REPAIRS, CONTRACT NO.
1060, AND RECEIVED AND FILE A TWO-YEAR
MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Peters Construction of Waterloo, Iowa, performed work in conjunction with
the FY 2022 Anaerobic Lagoon Blower Building Interim repairs, Contract No. 1060, and
WHEREAS, Peters Construction has completed the aforementioned project, in
accordance with the bid documents, specifications, form of contract, etc., as approved by Council
January 18, 2022, Resolution No. 2022-029.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Peters Construction, at a total cost of $97,997.00, and release of
retainage in the amount of $5,205.15, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Anaerobic Lagoon
Blower Building Interim repairs, Contract No. 1060, are hereby approved, and a two-year
maintenance bond is hereby received and filed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of April 2023.
