RESOLUTION NO. 2023-201
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO AMERICAN
ROAD MAINTENANCE OF TUCSON, ARIZONA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $543,285.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE AIRPORT PAVEMENT
REHABILITATION PROJECT TO RUNWAY 12/30, TAXIWAY
ALPHA EAST AND, TAXIWAY ECHO, FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION, AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM,
PROJECT NO. 3-19-0094-0056, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, American Road Maintenance of Tucson, Arizona, submitted a bid in the
amount of $543,285.00, in conjunction with the Airport Pavement Rehabilitation Project to
Runway 12/30, Taxiway Alpha East and, Taxiway Echo, Federal Aviation Administration,
Airport Improvement Program, Project No. 3-19-0094-0056, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, American Road Maintenance submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the Airport Pavement Rehabilitation Project to
Runway 12/30, Taxiway Alpha East and, Taxiway Echo, Federal Aviation Administration,
Airport Improvement Program, Project No. 3-19-0094-0056.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of American Road Maintenance, in the amount of $543,285.00, in
conjunction with the Airport Pavement Rehabilitation Project to Runway 12/30, Taxiway
Alpha East and, Taxiway Echo, Federal Aviation Administration, Airport Improvement
Program, Project No. 3-19-0094-0056, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by American Road
Maintenance, in conjunction with the Airport Pavement Rehabilitation Project to Runway
12/30, Taxiway Alpha East and, Taxiway Echo, Federal Aviation Administration, Airport
Improvement Program, Project No. 3-19-0094-0056, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of April 2023.
