RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE AWARD
OF BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 2007 FORD
F-750 DEMONSTRATOR WITH TEREX UTILITIES
DERRICK UNIT AS JANUARY 25, 2010, AT 5:30
P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND INSTRUCTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF
HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th day of January, 2010,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon awarding of bid
for the Purchase of One (1) 2007 Ford F-750 Demonstrator with
Terex Utilities Derrick Unit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.

COLE I am requesting approval to purchase one (1) demonstrator 2007 Ford F-750 with a Terex
Ward2 Digger-Derrick unit for the Traffic Department. Due to the significant cost savings by
HAROLD purchasing a demonstrator unit, it is not possible to seek competitive bids for a like piece
GETTY of equipment. I am requesting to hold public hearing on this purchase and purchase this
Ward 3 unit from Dueco Inc, Watertown, S.D. for the price of$121,025.
