RESOLUTION NO. 2023-240
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO WILSON
CUSTOM TREE SERVICE OF CRESCO, IOWA, PER YEAR
MOWING/WEED CONTROL OPTION A: $15,920.00/$5,190.00,
OPTION B: $5,520.00/$790.00, OPTION C: $2,880.00/$900.00
AND OPTION D: $5,100.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY2023 WASTE WATER
TREATMENT PLANT LIFT STATIONS MOWING CONTRACT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Wilson Custom Tree of Cresco, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
Option A:$15,920.00/$5,190.00, Option B:$5,520.00/$790.00, Option C:$2,880.00/$900.00 and
Option D:$5,100.00, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY2023 Waste
Water Treatment Plant Lift Stations Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, Wilson Custom Tree submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2023-239, after public hearing on April 17, 2023, in conjunction the FY2023
Waste Water Treatment Plant Lift Stations Mowing Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Wilson Custom Tree, in the amount of Option A: $15,920.00/$5,190.00,
Option B:$5,520.00/$790.00, Option C:$2,880.00/$900.00 and Option D:$5,100.00, in
conjunction with the FY2023 Waste Water Treatment Plant Lift Stations Mowing
Contract, is hereby awarded to Wilson Custom Tree.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Wilson Custom Tree, in
conjunction with the FY2023 Waste Water Treatment Plant Lift Stations Mowing
Contract, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2023-239, after public hearing on April 17, 2023 on published
notice required by law, are hereby accepted and approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of April 2023.
