RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BIDS TO P & J
LAWN CARE OF WATERLOO, IOWA, OPTION A $1,500.00,
OPTION B $1,500.00 PER OCCURRENCE, AND TO B & B
LAWN CARE, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, OPTION C
$74.49, AND OPTION D $149.79 PER MAN HOUR,
APPROVING THE CONTRACTS, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2024 COMPLAINT MOWING WITH COMPLAINT
SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, P & J Lawn Care, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
Option A:$1,500.00, Option B:$1,500.00 per occurrence, and is the apparent low bidder for
Option A and B, in conjunction the FY 2024 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal
Contracts, and
WHEREAS, P & J Lawn Care, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2023-241, after public hearing on April 17, 2023, in conjunction the FY 2024
Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contracts, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
Option C:$74.49, and Option D:$149.79 per man hour, and is the apparent low bidder for
Options C and D, in conjunction the FY 2024 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow
Removal Contracts, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2023-241, after public hearing on April 17, 2023, in conjunction the FY 2024
Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contracts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of P & J Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of Option A:$1,500.00,
Option B:$1,500.00 per occurrence, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Complaint Mowing with
Complaint Snow Removal Contracts, is hereby awarded to P & J Lawn Care, Inc.
2. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of Option C:$74.49, and
Option D: $149.79 per man hour in conjunction with the FY 2024 Complaint Mowing with
Complaint Snow Removal Contracts, is hereby awarded.
3. That the contracts, bonds and certificates of insurance submitted by P & J Lawn
Care, Inc., and B & B Lawn Care, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2024 Complaint Mowing with
Complaint Snow Removal Contracts, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project with Resolution No. 2023-241, after public hearing on April 17, 2023 on
published notice required by law, are hereby accepted and approved.
