Form of Contract,
And Estimate of Coat
For the
FY 2024 LEVEE RIP RAP SPRAYING
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 1083
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 20th day of April, 2023 until 1:00
p.m. for the construction of the FY 2024
LEVEE RIP RAP SPRAYING, Contract
No 1083, as described in detail in the
plans and specifications now on file in the
Office of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the Harold Getty Council Chambers,
second floor of City Hall, in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 20th day of April,
2023 at 1:00 p.m., and the proposals will
be acted upon at such later time and
place as may then be fixed by the City
Council. The bid opening will be
livestreamed on YouTube and made
available on the City website.
pUBUC HEARINQ
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above -described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the 1st
day of May, 2023, said hearing to be held
in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers
in City Hall in said City. The proposed
plans, specifications, form of contract,
and estimate of cost for said improve-
ments heretofore prepared by the City of
Waterloo are now on file in the office of
the City Clerk for public examination, and
any person interested therein may file
written objection thereto with the City
Clerk before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto at the meeting above set
forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The work involved in this project consists
of cut stump treatment or spraying trees
and shrubs in various reaches of rock
nprap along the levees of the Waterloo
Flood Control System. Target trees shall
include trees that obstruct the efficient
operation of structures, prevent proper
maintenance of the levee, or threaten the
safety of the levee.

Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa and
upon order to the City Council of said
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 3rd day of April,
2023.
