RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF PEREGRINE
CHARITIES TO HOLD THE THIRD ANNUAL PEREGRINE
CHARITIES TRIATHLON ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2010.
WHEREAS, Peregrine Charities has made written application
requesting that they be authorized and permitted to hold a Third
Annual Peregrine Charities Triathlon on September 26, 2010, and
WHEREAS, said Triathlon will begin at 7:30 a.m., to include
an Olympic distance of a one mile swim in George Wyth Lake, 25
mile bike ride on Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County
roads, and a six mile run in George Wyth Park, and a Sprint
distance of a % mile swim in George Wyth Lake, 15.8 mile bike
ride on Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County roads, and 3
mile run in George Wyth Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Peregrine Charities to hold a
Third Annual Peregrine Charities Triathlon on September 26, 2010
with said Triathlon to begin at 7:30 a.m., to include an Olympic
distance of a one mile swim in George Wyth Lake, 25 mile bike
ride in Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County and six mile
run in George Wyth Park, and a Sprint distance of a M mile swim
in George Wyth Lake, a 15.8 mile bike ride on Waterloo, Cedar
Falls and Black Hawk County roads, and a 3 mile run in George
Wyth Park, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of July, 2010.
