RESOLUTION APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
WITH THE IOWA HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT DIVISION (HSEMD) AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF SAID MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BY
MAYOR AND CHIEF OF POLICE.
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been reached between the Homeland
Security and Emergency Management Division and the City of
Waterloo, Iowa to enhance effectiveness of the Iowa Intelligence
Fusion Center and the Regional Fusion Office and support the
development of a statewide fusion process that corresponds with
the Global Justice/Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC)
Fusion Center Guidelines and achievement of a baseline level of
capability as defined by the Fusion Capability Planning Tool,
with said program to run from May 1, 2010 through March 31, 2012
in the amount of $194,194.00,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Memorandum of Agreement dated July 12, 2010, between the
Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division and the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and
the Mayor and Chief of Police authorized to execute the same in
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of July, 2010.
