RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO GROUT
MUSEUM DISTRICT TO HOLD lst ANNUAL SUMMER
BASH: SCIENCE CIRCUS FROM JULY 29-31, 2010 AT
THE RIVER LOOP EXPO GROUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Grout Museum District has made written
application to the City Council asking that they be authorized
and permitted to hold the 1st Annual Summer Bash: Science Circus
from July 29-31, 2010 at the River Loop Expo Grounds, and
WHEREAS, said Science Circus will held on July 29-30, 2010
from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on July 31, 2010 from 10:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m., including requiring the closure of Jefferson Street
from W. 3rd Street to Park Avenue. The event is also in
conjunction with the RAGBRAI overnight stop in Waterloo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Grout Museum District to
hold the 1st Annual Summer Bash: Science Circus on July 29-30,
2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on July 31, 2010 from 10:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including requiring the closure of Jefferson
Street from W. 3rd Street to Park Avenue, be and the same is
hereby approved.
