RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF UDAG
PROJECT PUBLIC IMP RGTEMENTS PHASE I, SECTIONS
1, 2, 3 ,AND 4, CONTRACT NO. 175.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 25471, specifications, plans,
etc. , for the UDAG Project Public Improvements Phase I, Sect-
ions 1 , 2, 3 and 4, known as Contract No. 175, in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, have been approved and adopted by this Council
after the hearing prescribed by statue, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that it is deemed advisable and necessary and it is so ordered
on motion by this Council that the said improvements be const-
ructed in accordance with said plans and specifications.
That the work herein ordered is to be paid in monthly esti-
mates, in cash, on the basis of 90% of the work as the same is
completed and materials delivered and the work approved until
work 50% completed after which the city may authorize payment
of 100% of remaining monthly estimates, except that before the
last month' s payment is made the contractor may be required to
furnish the City Council vouchers showing that all subcontractors
and workmen and persons furnishing materials have been fully paid
for such materials and labor, and that the City may retain the
last month' s payment for a pEroid of 31 days following such com-
Cn) pletion and approval, unless Satisfied that materialsmen and
laborers have been paid.

That said works shall be done by contract and shall be com-
sc tr menced within ten (10) days after issuance of "Notice to Proceed"
