RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AS
SEPTEMBER 10, 1979 IN THE CITY HALL ON PROPOSAL TO
VACATE, DISPOSE OF .AND CONVEY A PORTION OF ALLEY IN
BLOCK 12, CONGER PARK TO LORRAINE HURLBUT, WIDOW OF
A. R. HURLBUT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOW:
1. That public hearing will be held by the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 7 :00 o' clock P.M. on the 10th day of September, 1979, on the
proposal to vacate, dispose of and convey a portion of alley in Block
12, Conger Park, owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to Lorraine Hurl-
but , widow of A. R. Hurlbut , Waterloo, Iowa in exchange for other real
estate conveyed to the City of Waterloo, Iowa by .A. R. Hurlbut by deed
dated August 20, 1952, and legally described as follows:
That portion of the alley in Block 12, Conger
Park in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, described
as follows: Commencing at a point in the South
line of Lot 16 in John G. Miller Subdivision of
Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, in Block 12 in Conger
Park, an Addition to Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, that is 3. 17 feet West of the Easterly
corner of said Lot 16; thence East along the
South line of said John G. Miller Subdivision
of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, in Block 12 in
Conger Park, an Addition to Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, to the Southeast corner of
Lot 7A in said Subdivision; thence South 1 foot;
thence West along a line 1 foot from and parallel
with the south line of said Subdivision to a
point 1 foot South of the point of beginning;
thence North to the point of beginning.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier once in the manner provided by Section 362. 3 of the 1977 Code
of Iowa.
Passed and adopted this 27th day of August , 1979.
