RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF CEDAR FALLS
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. , IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1, 418, 896. 30 FOR SECTIONS 1 AND 2 AND LOW
BID OF SEE ELECTRIC, INC. , IN THE AMOUNT OF
$135, 462. 79 FOR SECTIONS 3 AND 4 FOR UDAG
PROJECT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE I, CON-
TRACT NO. 175.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that the bid of Cedar Falls Construction, Inc. , of Water-
loo, Iowa, for Sections 1 and 2, and low bid of See Electric,
Inc. , of Waterloo, Iowa for Sections 3 and 4 for UDAG Project
Public Improvements, Phase I , Contract No. 175, in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, filed with the City Clerk in accordance with
the terms of the published notice calling for proposals for the
construction of the said improvement , be, and the same is here-
by, accepted , the bid of Cedar Falls Construction, Inc. , in the
amount of $1 , 418, 896. 30, and the bid of See Electric, Inc. , in
the amount of $135, 462.79, being the lowest legal bids received
on said proposal , and that the contract be awarded to Cedar Falls
Construction, Inc. , and See Electric, Inc. , of Waterloo, Iowa,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized , instructed and ordered to enter
into a contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the
construction of the said improvement with the said Cedar Falls
Construction, Inc. , & See Electric, Inc. , but said contract shall
not be binding upon said city until the same has been duly ap-
proved by the council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said improve-
ment be, and they are hereby, rejected , and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and directed to return unto the persons filing
the same the certified checks accompany such rejected bids.
