RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL ESTIMATE
#9 REPORT DECLARATION OF COMPLETION AND
RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE AS TO WORK
AND MATERIALS FURNISHED BY JOHN G. MILLER
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE FOURTH STREET
BRIDGE WALKWAY CANOPY, MINOR CONTRACT NO.
91, ACCEPTING THE WORK AND AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT ACCORDINGLY.
WHEREAS, John G. Miller Construction Company, of Waterloo,
Iowa, have under contract with the City of Waterloo, Iowa, dated
August 31, 1979, furnished certain materials and performed labor
in connection with the Fourth Street Bridge Walkway Canopy, Minor
Contract No. 91 , in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the Final Estimate #9 Report of Brice, Petrides &
Associates, Inc. , for the work performed and materials furnished
by the said Contractors under said contract is $499, 250.00, being
the total construction cost of the project , and
WHEREAS, under the terms of said contract said contractors,
John G. Miller Construction Company, are to be paid 95% of the
monthly estimates as furnished by the Engineers of the City of
Waterloo,, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, said Contractors have been previously paid the
amount of $469, 537 . 50 as per the Engineer ' s Report of August
21 , 1979, leaving a balance due of $4, 750.00, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Final Estimate #9 report of the Engineers be approved,
the work accepted, said Contractors, John G. Miller Construction
Company, be paid the sum of $4, 750.00, in full on said contract ,
and that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby authorized, empower-
ed and ordered to certify that a warrant should be drawn from
the appropriate Expenditures Fund for the sum of $4, 750.00, and
the same be delivered to the said John G. Miller Construction
Company.
Passed and adopted this 10th day of September, 1979.
