On Proposed Plans, Specifications,
Form of Contract,
And Estimate of Coat For the
F.Y. 2023 E. SAN MARNAN DR.
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
In the Clty of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 1084
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 41h day of May, 2023 until 1:00
p.m. for the construction of the F.V. 2023
E. SAN MARNAN DR. RECONSTRUC-
TION PROJECT, Contract No. 1084, as
described in detail in the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office of
the City Clerk.
OPENING OF Boa
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall, in the Clty of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
4th day of May, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., and
the proposals will be acted upon at such
later time and place as may then be fixed
by the City Council. The bid opening will
be livestreamed on YouTube and made
available on the city website.
PUBLIC HEARINQ
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above -described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the
15th day of May, 2023, said hearing to be
held in the Harold E. Getty Councl
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by the
City of Waterloo are now on rile in the
office of the City Clerk for public
examination, and any person interested
therein may file written objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto at the
meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is the
construction of street improvements in,
along and upon portions of certain
streets, avenues, roads, and alleys, and
such other work as may be incidental
thereto along and upon the following
streets, avenues, roads and alleys.
Street improvements consisting of:
Division I - E. San Maman Dr.
Reconstruction
9" P.C.C. pavement section with 10"
subbase material
Division II - E. San Maman Dr. Water
Main Relocation
Division consisting of filling abandoning,
and relocating a 16" Water Main.
9" P.C.C. pavement section with 10"
subbase material
Subgrade drain tile, granular subbase,
new storm sewer and appurtenances and
other such work as may be incidental
thereto.
All street improvements consist of the
reconstruction of an existing paved street,
which is to be replaced with a proposed
street.
The street, which is proposed for
improvements, is as follows:

Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa and
upon order to the City Council of said
