HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-631-7 /19/2010RESOLUTION NO. 2010-631 RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF DICK AND DON HURST TO APPROVE REZONING REQUEST OF APPROXIMATELY 0.45 ACRES OF LAND FROM "R-1" ONE AND TWO-FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO "S- 1" SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF 2102 KIMBALL AVENUE GENERALLY LOCATED NEAR THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF KIMBALL AVENUE AND WEST RIDGEWAY AVENUE, AS AUGUST 2, 2010, AT 5:30 P.M., IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL, AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd day of August, 2010, for the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of Dick and Don Hurst to approve rezoning request of approximately 0.45 acres of land from "R-1" One and Two -Family Residence District to "S-1" Shopping Center District for property located north of 2102 Kimball Avenue generally located near the northwest corner of Kimball Avenue and West Ridgeway Avenue for the purpose of bringing the existing legal non -conforming commercial parking lot to the Kimball Ridge Shopping Center into compliance with the zoning ordinance in the City of Waterloo, and legally described as follows: Lots 101 and 102 of Second Addition to Kenyon's Addition to the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, except the North 25 feet thereof, and also, the 16' easement in Second Addition to Kenyon's Addition that lies South of Lots 101 and 102 in said addition, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
