RESOLUTION NO. 2023-308
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO D. W. ZINSER CO., INC., IN
THE AMOUNT OF $56,900.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES, CONTRACT
NO. D-2023-04-01P, LOCATED AT 1100 SYCAMORE STREET,
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, D. W. Zinser Co., Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of $56,900.00, in
conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2023-04-01P, located
at 1100 Sycamore Street, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, D. W. Zinser Co., Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2023-210, after public hearing on April 3, 2023, in conjunction with Demolition
and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2023-04-01P, located at 1100 Sycamore Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of D. W. Zinser Co., Inc., in the amount of $56,900.00, in conjunction with
Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2023-04-01P, located at 1100
Sycamore Street, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by D. W. Zinser Co., Inc.,
in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2023-04-
01P, located at 1100 Sycamore Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of May 2023.
