RESOLUTION NO. 2023-339
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO WOODRUFF
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF FORT DODGE, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $9,362,172.82, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2023 GATES PARK
IMPROVEMENTS, CONTRACT NO. 1076, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, Inc., of Fort Dodge, Iowa submitted a bid in the
amount of $9,362,172.82, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Gates Park Improvements, Contract
No. 1076, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Gates Park Improvements, Contract No.
1076.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Woodruff Construction, Inc., in the amount of $9,362,172.82, in
conjunction with the FY 2023 Gates Park Improvements, Contract No. 1076, is hereby
awarded to Woodruff Construction, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Woodruff Construction,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2023 Gates Park Improvements, Contract No. 1076, are
hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of May 2023.
