ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 36, VEHICLES
FOR HIRE, DIVISION 4, RATES AND FARES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
Section 36-58, (1) , (5) , (6) and (b) are hereby repealed in their
entirety and the following new sections enacted in lieu thereof.
Section 36-58
(1) For the first one-quarter (1/4) mile $0.60
(5) For each one (1) minute of waiting time $0.10
(6) For employment per hour $5.00
(b) Waiting time shall include the time when the taxicab is not in
motion, beginning with the arrival at the place to which it has been
called, or the time consumed while standing at the direction of passen-
ger, or traffic delay, but no charge shall be made for time lost for
inefficiency of the taxicab or its operator or time consumed by pre-
mature response to a call.
