HomeMy WebLinkAbout2639-08.20.1973 ORDINANCE NO. 6 J ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2479, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING SUB-SECTION NO. 49 TO SECTION 2A-5 OF SAID ORDINANCE, RE-ZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: Section 1. That Section 2A-5 of Ordinance No. 2479, as amended, be further amended by adding after Sub-Section No. 48 of said section, the following Sub-Section Forty-nine (49): 49. FROM "M-1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "C-2" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section No. Twelve (12), Township No. Eighty-eight (88) North, Range No. Fourteen (14) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Section No. 12 which is Six Hundred Ninety-five and Forty-seven Hundredths (695. 47) feet North of Southeast corner of said section No. 12; thence North 53 degrees 58 minutes West Two Hundred Eighteen and Twenty-three Hundredths (218. 23) feet to the Southeasterly right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 63; thence North Thirty- six (36) degrees Two (2) minutes East along said right of way line Three Hundred (300) feet; thence South along East line of said Section No. 12 Three Hundred Seventy and Ninety-eight Hundredths (370. 98) feet to the point of beginning. FROM "A-1" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "C-2" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT A part of the Southwest Fractional Quarter of Section No. Seven (7) Township No. Eighty-eight (88) North, Range No. Thirteen (13) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, bounded as follows: Beginning at a point on the. West line of said Section No. 7 which is Six Hundred Ninety-five and Forty-seven Hundredths (695. 47) feet North of the Southwest corner of said section No. 7; thence North along the West line of said Section No. 7 Three Hundred Seventy and Ninety-eight Hundredths (370. 98) feet (said point being on Southeasterly right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 63); thence North Thirty-six (36) degrees Two (2) minutes East along said right of way line Forty-four (44) feet; thence South Fifty-three (53) degrees Fifty-eight (58) minutes East Five Hundred (500) feet; thence South Thirty-six (36) degrees Two (2) minutes West Three Hundred Forty-four (344) feet; thence North Fifty-three (53) degrees Fifty-eight (58) minutes West Two Hundred Eighty-one and Seventy-seven Hundredths (281. 77) feet to the point of beginning. now zoned on the Zoning Map of Waterloo, Iowa, as "M-1" Light Industrial District and "A-1" Agricultural District, be and the same is hereby zoned as "C-2" Commercial District as above described.
