AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO, 2234 AND ALL
AMENDMENTS THERETO EXCEPT SECTION 1 ,19 AND 20 OF
ARTICLE XIV, AND ALL OF ARTICLES XV, XVI, XVII,
XVIII, AND XX THEREOF PERTAINING TO PERSONS AUTH-
ORIZED TO DO PLUMBING, INSPECTION FEES, APPLICA-
TION AND EXAMINATION FOR LICENSES, BOARD OF PLUMBERS
EXAMINERS, AND PLUMBING INSPECTOR, AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA,
Section 1 . That Ordinance No. 2234, and all amendments there-
to except Section 1 , 19 and 20 or Article XIV, and all of Articles XV,
XVI, XVII, XVIII, and XX thereof pertaining to persons authorized to
do plumbing, inspection fees , application and examination for licenses ,
Board of Plumbers Examiners , and Plumbing Inspector, be, and the same
are , hereby repealed.
Section 2 . That pursuant to published notice a public hearing
has been duly held and the Council has determined that the 1973 State
Plumbing Code in a bound complete code form governing the installation
of plumbing in the City of Waterloo, Iowa and Sections 1, 19 and 20
of Article XIV, and all of Articles XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, and XX thereof
pertaining to persons authorized to do plumbing, inspection fees , ap-
plication and examination for licenses , Board of Plumbers Examiners ,
and Plumbing Inspector of Ordinance 2234, should be and is now adopted
as the Municipal Plumbing Code of tne Ordinances of the City of Water-
loo, Iowa,
Section 3 . That an official copy of the Municipal Plumbing
Code , as adopted, and including a certificate by Clerk as to its
adoption and effective date is on file at the office of the City
Clerk,
Section 4. It is further ordained that copies of such bound
complete code form of the plumbing code ordinance shall be kept
available at the Clerks office for public inspection and for sale
at cost to the public .
Section 5 . Further, that a copy of such municipal plumbing
code shall be furnished to tne state law library, the municipal
library , to all newspapers of general circulation published in the
municipality and all commercial radio stations situated in the muni-

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
ADOPTING THE 1973 STATE PLUMBING CODE
GOVERNING THE INSTALLATION OF PLUMBING,
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2234 OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA EXCEPT SECTIONS 1,
19 AND 20 OF ARTICLE XIV, AND ALL OF
ARTICLES XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, AND XX
THEREOF PERTAINING TO PERSONS AUTHORIZED
TO DO PLUMBING, INSPECTION FEES, APPLICATION
AND EXAMINATION FOR LICENSES, BOARD OF
PLUMBERS EXAMINERS, AND PLUMBING INSPECTOR.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
Section 1. That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa;
being marked and designated as "State Plumbing Code (1973) published
in 1973 by the State of Iowa", be and the same is hereby adopted as the
Plumbing Code of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for regulating the in-
stallation of plumbing in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and each and all
of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of such
"State Plumbing Code (1973) published in 1973 by the State of Iowa," on
file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted
and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance.
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 2234 of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
entitled "Plumbing Ordinance" and all other Ordinances or parts of
Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed except Sections 1,
19 and 20 of Article XIV, and all of Articles XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, and
XX of said Ordinance No. 2234 pertaining to persons authorized to do
plumbing, inspection fees, application and examination for licenses,
Board of Plumbers Examiners, and Plumbing Inspector.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on and after the first
working day after its publication as required by the laws of this City and
State.
