RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO HUFF
CONTRACTING, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA FOR THE
2010 YOUNG ARENA EXPANSION PROJECT PHASE I,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $295,459.00, AND APPROVING
THE CONTRACTS, BONDS AND CERTIFICATES OF
INSURANCE AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of Huff Contracting, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, in
the amount of $295,459.00, for the 2010 Young Arena Expansion
Project Phase I, described in the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project, after public
hearing on published notice required by law, be and is hereby
accepted, the same being the lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of July, 2010.
