AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2644, KNOWN AS
THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WATERLDO, IOWA,
BY REPEALING SECTION 543 THEREOF ESTABLISHING THRU
STREETS, AND BY ENACTING NEW SECTION 543 ESTABLISHING
THRU STREETS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 543, entitled "Thru Streets", of Ordinance No. 2644, known as
the Traffic Ordinance is hereby repealed; that new Section 543 entitled
"Thru Streets" is hereby enacted as follows:
Sec. 543 THRU STREETS.
The following streets and parts of streets shall be known as stop streets,
thru streets or boulevards:
STREET PORTION OF STREET DESIGNATED AS THRU STREET
(1) Airline Highway, East Logan Avenue to east corporate limits
(2) Airline Highway, West Logan Avenue to Broadway Street and Broadway
Street to west corporate limits
(3) Almond Street East Fourth Street to East Mullan Avenue
(4) Ansborough Avenue South corporate limits to Rainbow Drive,
except at the intersection of Highway 412,
Ridgemont Road, Ridgeway Avenue, West Fourth
Street, Martin Road, Sergeant Road, University
Avenue, Falls Avenue, and Maynard Avenue
(5) Argyle Street East Fourth Street to East Mullan Avenue
(6) Baltimore Street East Ridgeway Avenue to West Fifth Street,
except for traffic signals at Mitchell Avenue,
Williston Avenue and Baltimore Street
(7) Barclay Street (South) Independence Avenue to Lime Street
(8) Black Hawk Road Fletcher Avenue to westerly corporate limits,
except at the intersections of Black Hawk Road
and Ansborough Avenue
(9) Black Hawk Street West Eleventh Street to West Eighteenth Street
(10) Broadway Street Utica Street to Airline Highway except for
traffic signals at Park Road, Conger Street and
West Parker Street.
(11) Burton Avenue Park Road to north corporate city limits,
except for traffic signals at West Parker Street
and a 4-way stop at Conger Street and also 2-way
stops at Broadway Street, West Donald Street,
West Airline Highway and Big Rock Road.
(12) Big Rock Road Easterly corporate Limits to Municipal Airport
property line, except a stop for Logan Avenue
(13) Bismark Street Cleveland Street to Ansborough Avenue
(14) Campbell Avenue West Fourth Street to Orange Grove Avenue
except for traffic signals at Fletcher Avenue
and Campbell Ave.
(15) Cascaden Avenue East Fourth Street to High Street
(16) Crossroads Boulevard Except for a stop required of southeast bound
traffic on Crossroads Boulevard and a stop re-
quired by southwest bound traffic on Bopp Street
at the intersection of Crossroads Boulevard
and Bopp Street
(17) Cedar Bend Street West Parker Street to Broadway Street
(18) Cedar Terrace Drive LaPorte Road to Foulk Road, except for a 2-way
stop at East Shaulis Road
(19) Center Street Logan Avenue to Fairview Avenue, except for a
2-way stop at Broadway Street
(20) Cleveland Street University Avenue to Westfield Avenue, except
for traffic signals at Falls Avenue
