RESOLUTION NO. 2023-350
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY MIDWEST CONCRETE, INC.,
OF PEOSTA, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $495,900.30, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2023 SIDEWALK REPAIR
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 2, CONTRACT NO. 1064,
AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE
BOND.
WHEREAS, Midwest Concrete, Inc., of Peosta, Iowa, performed work in conjunction
with the FY 2023 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 2, Contract No. 1064, and
WHEREAS, Midwest Concrete, Inc., has completed the aforementioned project, in
accordance with the bid documents, specifications, form of contract, etc., as approved by Council
May 15, 2023, Resolution No. 2023-318.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Midwest Concrete, Inc., at a total cost of $ 495,900.30, in
conjunction with the FY 2023 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 2, Contract No.
1064, are hereby approved, and the two-year Maintenance Bond is hereby accepted and filed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June 2023.
