RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS APRIL 27, 2023, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS MAY 17, 2023, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY2023 CONSTRUCTION OF A FIBER-TO-THE-
PREMISE FEEDER/DISTRIBUTION AND BACKBONE
NETWORK PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1080, AND DIRECT
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS UTILITY BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in
conjunction with the FY2023 Construction of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Feeder/Distribution and
Backbone Network Project, Contract No. 1080, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening, in conjunction with the FY2023 Construction of a Fiber-
to-the-Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone Network Project, Contract No. 1080, be
scheduled for April 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Telecommunications Utility Board of Trustees of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 4:00 p.m. on
the 17th day of May 2023, to hold a public hearing, in conjunction with the FY2023 Construction
of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone Network Project, Contract No.
1080.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
