AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16, GARBAGE AND TRASH,
OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO CODE OF ORDINANCES, BY ADDING
THERETO A NEW SECTION 16-5, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE
CITY LANDFILL; AND BY REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY SECTION
16. 41 . INSPECTION OF VEHICLES; INSPECTION FEE AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION 16. 41 , INSPECTION
OF VEHICLES; INSPECTION FEE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, as follows:
Section 1 . That Chapter 16, Garbage and Trash, of the City of Waterloo
Code of Ordinances, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following new
Section 16-5:
16-5. Landfill Fees. That the following fees are herewith
established for use of the landfill, which shall be
paid at the designated place before any material
is dumped:
(a) Automobiles, station wagons, and
trailers pulled by an automobile or
station wagon No Charge
(Resident of Waterloo)
50 (Non-Resident)
(b) Pickup trucks not exceeding three
tons registered weight 75 per load
(Resident of Waterloo)
$1 . 25 per load
(Non-Resident)
(c) All other vehicles based on registered
weight of the vehicle per load 25 per ton
(Resident of Waterloo)
50 per ton
(Non-Resident)
Section 2. That Section 16. 41. Inspection of Vehicles; inspection fee,
hereby repealed in its entirety and the following new section 16. 41 . Inspection
of vehicles; inspection fee, enacted in lieu thereof:
"Each vehicle used in the business of garbage or trash
collection shall be inspected by the sanitary inspector
at the time the permit is applied for. Prior to the
issutance of an unlimited permit an annual inspection
fee of thirty-five dollars ($35. 00) per vehicle shall be
paid to the clerk. A permit limited to 50 uses may be
issued upon payment of ten dollars ($10. 00) per vehicle
to the clerk. "
