AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2597 , DIVIDING THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA , INTO WARDS AND PRECINCTS , ADOPT-
ED MAY 15, 1972, BY REPEALING SECTIONS 5, 10 AND 26 AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTIONS 5, 10 AND 26.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA :
Section 1. That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 2597, be , and. the same is here-
by repealed in its entirety and. the following Section 5 enacted. in lieu
thereof:
THIRD WARD. That the Third, Ward shall be all the territory within the city
limits of the City of Waterloo, Iowa , described, as follows :
Commencing at the intersection of the city limits boundary line
and Moline Road and proceeding south along Moline Road to East
Donald Street, and. proceeding east along East Donald, Street to
Idaho Street, and proceeding south along Idaho Street to Indepen-
dence Avenue, and proceeding west along Independence Avenue to the
Waterloo Railroad , and. proceeding northwesterly along the Waterloo
Railroad to East Fourth Street, and. proceeding south along East
Fourth Street to East Parker Street , and. proceeding west along
East Parker Street to East Mullan Avenue, and proceeding south
along East Mullan Avenue to Newell Street , and, proceeding east along
Newell Street to Ankeny Street, and proceeding south along Ankeny
Street to Adams Street, and. proceeding east along Adams Street to
East Fourth Street, and. proceeding south along East Fourth Street
to Almond. Street , and. proceeding west along Almond. Street to Iowa
Street , and proceeding south along Iowa Street to Walnut Street, and.
proceeding southeasterly along Walnut Street to East Park Avenue,
and proceeding southwesterly along East Park Avenue to the center-
line of the Cedar River , and proceeding southeasterly along the
centerline of the Cedar River to West Tenth Street extended , and
proceeding southwesterly along West Tenth Street extended and West
Tenth Street to Washington Street, and. proceeding northwesterly
along Washington Street to West Mullan Avenue , and. proceeding
southwesterly along West Mullan Avenue to Leland. Avenue, and. pro-
ceeding westerly along Leland. Avenue to University Avenue, and
proceeding westerly along University Avenue to Belmont Avenue, and
proceeding north along Belmont Avenue to Falls Avenue , and proceeding
southeasterly along Falls Avenue to McKinley Street, and proceeding
north along McKinley Street to Westfield Avenue, and proceeding
northeasterly along Westfield. Avenue to Commercial Street, and. pro-
ceeding southeasterly along Commercial Street to West Mullan Avenue,
and proceeding northeasterly along West Mullan Avenue to the center-
line of the Cedar River, and. proceeding northwesterly along the
centerline of the Cedar River to West Conger Street, and proceeding
southwesterly along West Conger Street to Rainbow Drive, and pro-
ceeding west and northwesterly along Rainbow Drive to the city limits
boundary line , and proceeding in a clockwise direction along the
city limits boundary line to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That Section 10 of Ordinance No. 2597, be, and the same is here-
by repealed in its entirety and the following Section 10 enacted in lieu
thereof
2ND OF THE FIRST. The 2nd precinct of the 1st ward. shall embrace the terri-
tory within the city limits of the City of Waterloo, Iowa , described as
follows :
Commencing at the intersection of Ansborough Avenue and. the south
boundary line of Hope Martin Memorial Park and. proceeding east along
the south boundary line of Hope Martin Memorial Park and. Reber Ave-
nue to Drexel Avenue, and proceeding south along Drexel Avenue to
Kingsley Avenue, and, proceeding east along Kingsley Avenue to Euclid
Avenue, and proceeding south along Euclid. Avenue to Columbia Circle,

and proceeding southwesterly along Columbia Circle to Kingbard.
Boulevard , and proceeding easterly along Kingbard. Boulevard to Clough
Street, and proceeding south along Clough Street to West Fourth Street,
and proceeding southwest along West Fourth Street to Hampshire Road ,
and proceeding south along Hampshire Road to Berkshire Road, and
proceeding easterly along Berkshire Road to Prospect Boulevard, and
proceeding south along Prospect Boulevard to West Ridgeway Avenue,
and proceeding west along West Ridgeway Avenue to Ansborough Avenue,
and proceeding north along Ansborough Avenue to Martin Road , and
proceeding west along Martin Road to Sergeant Road , and proceeding
northeast along Sergeant Road to Carrington Avenue, and proceeding
east along Carrington Avenue to Ansborough Avenue, and proceeding
north along Ansborough Avenue to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That Section 26 of Ordinance No. 2597 , be , and the same is here-
by repealed in its entirety and the following Section 26 enacted in lieu
thereof:
2ND OF THE THIRD. The 2nd precinct of the 3rd ward shall embrace the terri-
tory within the city limits of the City of Waterloo, Iowa , described as
follows :
Commencing at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Riehl Street and
proceeding east along Riehl Street to Broadway, and proceeding south
along Broadway to Conger Street, and proceeding east and easterly
along Conger Street and continuing east along Newell Street to
Ankeny Street, and proceeding south along Ankeny Street to Adams Street,
and proceeding east along Adams Street to East Fourth Street, and pro-
ceeding south along East Fourth Street to Almond. Street, and proceed-
ing west along Almond. Street to East Mullan Avenue , and proceeding
southwesterly along East Mullan Avenue to Sycamore Street, and proceed-
ing northwesterly along Sycamore Street to Thompson Street, and pro-
ceeding northeasterly along Thompson Street to Lafayette Street, and
proceeding northwesterly along Lafayette Street to the beltline of the
Illinois Central Railroad , and proceeding northeasterly along the
beltline of the Illinois Central Railroad to Park Road , and proceeding
northwesterly along Park Road to the Waterloo Railroad , and proceeding
north and westerly along the Waterloo Railroad to Fairview Avenue, and
o proceeding north along Fairview Avenue to the point of beginning.
