RESOLUTION :ACCEPTING THE BID OF TAYLOR-
ISENHOWER, INC., OF HUDSON, IOWA, FOR
ALTERNATE I.A FOR REPAIRS TO THE SLOPE
PROTECTION PAVEMENT FOR MULLAN .AVENUE
BRIDGE, CONTRACT NO. 15.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA: That the bid of Taylor-Isenhower, Inc., of Hudson,
Iowa, for Alternate: IA for the Repairs to the Slope Protect-
ion Pavement for Mullan Avenue Bridge in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, filed with the City Clerk in accordance with the terms
of the published notice calling for proposals for the con-
struction of the said improvements, be, and the same is hereby,
accepted, the bid of Taylor--Isenhower, Inc., for .Alternate IA,
in the amount of $12, 575.00, being the lowest legal bid received
on said proposal, and that the contract be awarded to Taylor-
Isenhower, Inc., of Hudson, Iowa, and
BE: IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized, instructed and ordered to enter
into a contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the
construction of the said improvement with the said Taylor--Isen,-
hower, Inc., but said contract shall not be binding upon said
city until the same has been duly approved by the council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said improve-
ment be, and they are hereby, rejected, and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and directed to return unto the persons filing
the same the certified checks accompanying such rejected bids.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of November, 1979.
