RESOLUTION NO. 2023-401
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ITG
COMMUNICATIONS, LLC OF HENDERSONVILLE, TN IN THE
AMOUNT OF $77,864,565.10, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2023 FIBER -TO -PREMISE FEEDER/DISTRIBUTION
AND BACKBONE NETWORK PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1080,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, ITG Communications, LLC of Hendersonville, Tennessee, submitted a bid
in the amount of $77,864,565.10, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Fiber -to -Premise
Feeder/Distribution and Backbone Network Project, Contract No. 1080, and is the apparent low
bidder, and
WHEREAS, ITG Communications, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2023-390, after public hearing on June 20, 2023, in conjunction with the FY
2023 Fiber -to -Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone Network Project, Contract No. 1080.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of ITG Communications, LLC, in the amount of $77,864,565.10, in
conjunction with the FY 2023 Fiber -to -Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone
Network Project, Contract No. 1080, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by ITG Communications,
LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Fiber -to -Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone
Network Project, Contract No. 1080, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 29th day of June 2023.
