Roll Call.
The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session at the City Clerk's Office, City
Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Mayor Quentin Hart in the
Chair. Roll Call: Boesen, Nichols, Grieder and Feuss participated via Zoom link. Absent:
Creighton -Smith, Chiles and Wilder.

that agenda as proposed, be approved. Voice vote -Ayes: Four. Motion Carried.
RESOLUTIONS
Resolution approving award of bid to ITG Communications, LLC of Hendersonville, TN in the
amount of $77,864,565.10, approving the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance, in
conjunction with the FY 2023 Fiber -to -Premise Feeder/Distribution and Backbone Network
Project, Contract No. 1080, and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said
documents.

Roll Call vote -Ayes: Four. Motion carried. Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor
assigned No. 2023-401.
Courtney Violette, Magellan Advisors, provided an overview of the bidding process for the
project.
Mr. Boesen questioned if the consultant has worked with this project in the past.
Courtney Violette confirmed.
Resolution approving liability insurance with Chubb, Travelers, Arch, Allied, and Coalition for
property, tort, employment practices, public officials, law enforcement liability, auto, cyber,
umbrella, and excess liability insurance coverage, with a total premium of $2,086,079.00 and
authorize the City Clerk to execute necessary documents.
