RESOLUTION NO. 2023-416
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BROCK EVEN
CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF JESUP, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$198,315.05, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2024 SIDEWALK INFILL, SIDEWALK RAMP AND TRAIL REPAIR
PROGRAM - ZONE 3, CONTRACT NO. 1079, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, of Jesup, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $198,315.05, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk Infill, Sidewalk Ramp and
Trail Repair Program - Zone 3, Contract No. 1079, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2023-415, after public hearing on July 3, 2023, in conjunction with the FY
2024 Sidewalk Infll, Sidewalk Ramp and Trail Repair Program - Zone 3, Contract No. 1079.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Brock Even Construction, LLC, in the amount of $198,315.05, in
conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk Infill, Sidewalk Ramp and Trail Repair Program -
Zone 3, Contract No. 1079, is hereby awarded to Brock Even Construction, LLC.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk Infill, Sidewalk Ramp and
Trail Repair Program - Zone 3, Contract No. 1079, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of July 2023.
