ORDINANCE NO. 2 5 3 6 �,, off' xR° AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1363 AS () AMENDED, TAXICABS, BY REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY SECTION 22 (a) AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF SECTION 22 (a) , TAXICAB STANDS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: Section 1. That Section 22 (a) "Taxicab Stands" of Ordinance No. 1363, as amended, known as the Taxicab Ordinance, which reads as follows , be, and the same is hereby repealed in its entirety: Seca 22. (a) Taxicab stands of eighteen (18) feet in length per cab space are hereby established, for use by the various taxicab companies at the following locations : (a) A stand for two cabs at the Fifth Street entrance of the Russell-Lamson Hotel immediately Northeasterly of the restricted area established at said entrance. (b) A stand, for two cabs at the Park Avenue entrance of the President Hotel immediately Northeasterly of the restricted area established, at said entrance. (c) A stand for one cab at the Northeasterly corner of the intersection of East Fourth and Sycamore Streets immed- iately Northwesterly of said intersection on Sycamore Street. (d) A stand for one cab at the Sycamore Street entrance of the Ellis Hotel immediately Northwesterly of the restricted. area established at said, entrance. (e) A stand for two cabs in front of the premises known as 518-520 Mulberry Street, Waterloo, Iowa . (f) There shall be established, a taxicab stand on the Southeasterly side of West Fourth Street adjacent to the Rock Island passenger depot. (g) There shall be established a stand for one (1) taxicab stand between the hours of 6 :00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. on the Southwesterly side of Jefferson Street in front of the premises known as 608 Jefferson Street in the area now designated as a loading zone. No vehicle except licensed, taxicabs shall be stopped or parked in any of said taxicabs stands . Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished accordingly. Section 2. (c) There shall be established a taxicab stand on the Southeasterly side of West Fourth Street ad- jacent to the Rock Island passenger depot. (d) There shall be established a stand for one (1) taxicab stand between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and. 6 :00 A.M. on the Southwesterly side of Jefferson Street in front of the premises known as 608 Jefferson Street in the area now designated as a loading zone. (e) A stand for two cabs at 711 Commercial Street. (f) A stand for two cabs at new bus depot on West Tenth Street between Washington Street and Bluff Street. No vehicle except licensed taxicabs shall be stopped or parked in any of said taxicab stands . Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished accordingly.
