RESOLUTION NO. 2023-431
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JULY 27, 2023, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS AUGUST 7, 2023, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT
NO. AB-2023-07-02P, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 212
SUNNYSIDE AVENUE AND 1318 MARTIN ROAD, AND
INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in
conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for property
located at 212 Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services,
Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for property located at 212 Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin
Road, be scheduled for July 27 2023 at 1:00 p.m., City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th day of August 2023, to
hold a public hearing, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-
07-02P, for property located at 212 Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
